about

Raised in Nigeria and now rooted in Seattle, Nifemi Madarikan is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose photographs and films explore the soft flash of vulnerability, the patience of self-compassion, and the red-threaded intimacy binding our lives together.

Nifemi constructs portraits that hold stillness like a pulse, quiet yet resolute. Friends and collaborators become co-authors, meeting the lens to depict scenes shaped by light, feeling, and narrative. Exhibited in Seattle and supported by local institutions including the Museum of Pop Culture, 4Culture, and NFFTY, his practice centers quiet moments of powerful connection and positions tenderness as both compass and shelter.

At its core, Nifemi’s work offers a space for pause – for bearing witness to both personal and shared experiences of pain, presence, and resilience. Through image-making, he invites viewers into a deeper relationship with themselves and with one another.
