How do our eyes meet when our hearts turn away from each other?

Growing up, I loved reading comic books; I found comfort in episodic stories that I could return to, issue after issue, week after week. Maybe that’s why I draw inspiration from comic book covers for this series that follows two lovers through a self-repeating cycle of rupture and repair.
